We’ve all been there with non-alcoholic cocktails.

You mix sparkling water, syrup, and juice. It tastes… fine? You try to tweak it. Now it’s worse. You’re not sure what went wrong or how to fix it.

That’s because non-alcoholic cocktails play by different rules. Different ratios. Different flavor carriers. Different techniques entirely.

Instead, you’re stuck with non-alcoholic cocktails that:

I built the course I wish existed.

13+ years facilitating beverage, fermentation, and culinary workshops. 5k+ students. A background in nutrition and a deep curiosity about how ingredients actually work. All of it taught me: when people understand the why, they create with confidence.

Three steps to understanding mocktail mixology

Start with the fundamentals

Enroll in The Fundamentals of Non-Alcoholic Mixology and get immediate access to a structured, self-paced course with video lessons, practical demonstrations, and downloadable resources.

Understand the principles

Move through lessons that break down flavor, technique, and ingredient behavior — plus why mocktails require a different approach than cocktails with alcohol.

Make drinks your own

Adjust on the fly. Fix what’s off. Riff without a recipe.

You’ll get there eventually.
This is faster.

It’s not that you can’t figure it out on your own. You absolutely can. People do. But every new recipe is a gamble. Some work. Some don’t. You’re not sure why either way.

It’s more fun when you’re not guessing.

Fundamentals give you a framework, so you’re not starting from zero with every drink.

You’ll read a recipe and understand why it works (or how to make it better). You’ll finally know how to make magic with kitchen ingredients and balance that expensive NA spirit gathering dust.

More creating. Less crossing your fingers.

Why choose online mocktail classes over in-person?

You can pause, rewind, and rewatch whenever you need to. Practice at your own pace, in your own kitchen, with your own ingredients. No rushing to keep up with a group or missing a step because you were muddling.

How are these mocktail classes different from free YouTube videos?

YouTube gives you recipes. This gives you the reasoning behind them. You'll learn the principles that make drinks work — so you can create your own, troubleshoot what's off, and stop depending on someone else's recipe every time.

Who takes mocktail classes?

Home entertainers who want to serve something better than sparkling water. Sober-curious folks building new rituals. Bar managers expanding their menus. Recipe-followers ready to understand the why. Basically: curious adults who care about what they drink.

How long does the course take to complete?

Most people finish in 2–4 weeks, practicing as they go. It's self-paced, so you can move faster or slower depending on your schedule and how much time you spend experimenting between lessons.

Do I need any experience to take this course?

None. The course is designed for beginners and assumes you're starting from scratch. If you already have some experience, you'll move through faster — and finally understand why certain things work.

What equipment do I need to get started?

A shaker, a jigger, a strainer, and a muddler will cover most of what you'll make. You don't need a full bar setup. We'll walk you through what's essential versus nice-to-have.

What’s the difference between this and a bartending course?

Bartending courses teach you to work behind a bar — speed, service, and alcohol-forward recipes. This course teaches you the foundations of non-alcoholic mixology specifically, which plays by different rules: different ratios, different flavor carriers, different techniques.

Do I need to know how to make cocktails first?

Nope. In fact, starting fresh can be an advantage. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks work differently, so you won't have to unlearn habits that don't translate.

Is this course good for complete beginners?

Yes — it's built for you. We start with the fundamentals and build from there. By the end, you'll understand how drinks come together and have the confidence to create your own.
